A Powerful Story of Love

I take the truth about Christmas very seriously, yet with such joy and fun. There is nothing better than seeing smiles from those we love. Watching people unwrap gifts and hoping that we’ve done ‘happy’ by them is unmatched.

There would not be the joy in giving if we had not received the greatest gift. Yes, you’ve heard it all before but when the glory of the birth of Jesus really hits your heart – you realize the majesty and power of it. What a sacrifice for God to give his Son for us!

That example shows his great love. A free gift. For you. For me. Accepting who Christ is and knowing that in spite of ourselves, he loves us! A perfect sacrifice takes our place when we are far from perfection.

Without God’s love I truly believe we cannot know the depth of love for anyone. Human love and divine love are sincerely not the same. With gratitude I bow at the manger and look forward to the cross. Humbly I go to Him with a heart wide open and eyes that cannot behold his power.
